Atlanta Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Support Groups and Bariatric Seminars:

Location: Northside Hospital(Classroom B-980 building)1000 Johnson Ferry NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30342

Support Group is in the 980 Building next to Northside Hospital. You may park in the back of the 980 Building. Or, you may park at Northside Hospital and enter through the main Hospital entrance, make a left at gift shop, go until you reach a dead end, make a left, continue until you reach the next dead end, go right and you will then be in the 980 Building. Classroom B is across from the elevators.

From I-285 East, take exit 26 and turn right onto Glenridge Connector. Turn Left at the light onto Johnson Ferry Road. The Hospital will be on the left.
From I-285 West, take exit 28 and turn left onto Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. Turn right at the light onto Johnson Ferry Road. The Hospital will be on the right.

* If you are researching Bariatric Surgery, it is highly recommended that you attend Post Op Support Group sessions held the first Saturday of every month from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM to hear from our current patients. There is an incredible amount of knowledge that can be gained from others who have already had the surgery. The Bariatric Surgery Information Session is held immediately following the Support Group from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

Satellite Support Groups

Along with our regular post-op support group on the first Saturday of each month, we would like to invite you to attend a satellite support group near you.

From Savannah : Take Abercorn Street east (toward downtown). The JEA is located just passed Derenne Ave. on the left. You’ll need to make a u-turn to get into the parking lot.

From Downtown Savannah or South Carolina : Take I-16 West to exit 164 A (516 East) Lynes Parkway . Follow to the end. Lynes Parkway turns into Derenne Avenue . Stay in left lane. At third light, Abercorn Street , take the left and stay in the left lane. The JEA building is on the left. Make a u-turn into the parking lot.

Exercise for Success!!

Where: Atlanta, Georgia

Location:
Northside Hospital PT gym on the 4th floor of the hospital
at 1000 Johnson Ferry NE, Atlanta, GA 30342 on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Monday classes will be held in Woodstock at
2001 Professional Parkway, Suite 110 (just off Hwy 92).

When:
At 6:30 p.m. once a week on rotating Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on 1/9/07
(Tues. 1/9, Thurs. 1/18, Tues. 1/23, Thurs. 2/1, Tues. 2/6, etc.) at Northside Hospital.
Or at 6:30 p.m. every Monday at the Woodstock location.

Cost:
The first 6 sessions are free, and then $10.00 per session.
Recent post bariatric surgery patients will need a clearance
note from Dr. Champion allowing you to participate in the exercise program.
