I have had a weight problem since my teens. I have tried pills, starvation diets, group programs, and liquid nutrition replacements. They all worked and I lost weight. I was miserable the entire time. Then the weight would start coming back and always more with it. I wanted something that would take control of my food intake out of my hands. This surgery has done this for me.
The weight loss has been easy. I am not hungry all of the time. I don’t feel deprived. I have even disposed of my large clothes, something I’ve never done before because I knew I would need them again. I feel good. My knee pain has been reduced greatly. I fit in restaurant booths, theater and airline seats. If I had it to do all over, I would make the same decision to have the surgery that has changed my life.
