Thinking back to February of 2004, I remember being so down about anyone I used to know seeing me that I wouldn’t even make an appointment to get my hair done. My husband looked at me and said, “You have stopped living and we need to find you some help.” I’d mentioned gastric bypass surgery before and we’d both agreed that it sounded like such a drastic measure that it would only be for those dying. Well…I had basically died. I didn’t live my life any longer. I worked and came home and hid from the world.

I have lost 134 pounds and have gone from a size 24 to a 6 as of today. I recently selected to compete for Mrs. Georgia International. This pageant will be April 25, 2004 at 6 pm in the Holiday Inn Ballroom on Holcombe Bridge Road.
